Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions that a person makes in their life.  Having access to the right information will not only let a person know what all their options are, but will enable them to make a well informed decision when that time comes.

There are many factors that one must examine when searching for a prospective career.   For many people, the first question they ask is what kind of salary comes with the job.  This is an important question as making enough money to support ones lifestyle is important, but even more important than salary is knowing what the chances are of finding a job in a particular field once you have the necessary credentials which may include completing a degree, certification, or both.

Today’s Job Market:

No one can argue that with today’s economy, finding a decent paying job is not easy.  Many people struggle to find work and end up settling for whatever wage paying job they can get, regardless of pay.  Many times individuals take part-time employment just so they can have some money to scrape by.

Worst still is the people who go to college, spend four years working as hard as they can to get a degree, only to find that upon graduating there are no jobs to be found.  Not only that, these people now have some very large student loans to pay off.

With no income they do not have the means to make their monthly loan payments.  They are stuck with these debts for life until they are payed off.  Even a bankruptcy will not dismiss student loans.  These are some of the same people that are forced to take inferior jobs with poor pay, just so they can keep up with their payments.  This is hardly the “dream life” that these students had when they started  college.

Is School a Waste Of Time?

Given the current economy, it is only logical to ask yourself if going to school for a career is a waste of time or worse, a trap that will destroy your future.  The answer is a definite no!  What matters is choosing a career that is guaranteed to provide you with a job upon graduation.  Having access to a resource that provide information about what careers are in high demand as well as the schooling requirements and salary information for each is what can make the difference between a successful future and what is essentially a ball and chain of debt.  The goal of this site is to provide this information so people can make an informed decision about their future.
